Ask a questionQ & A
I feel lost in myself. I have moved to be with my boyfriend but it's not working. I ask God for answers but don't get anything back. Are things that bad that even God can't help me?
Thank you so much for sharing your story and asking for advice on how God can help you. The Good News is that I believe Jesus can help you.
You say you feel lost, Jesus said he has come to save the lost. He, like you, left behind his family in heaven to move into the world and find a bride. The difference is that his bride is the Church. He wants us to all be part of his family and his Church.
When we ask Jesus to forgive us for the wrong we have done and to help us start living for him, he then will guide us through prayer, bible study and fellowship with other believers. Jesus promises to always be with us and never leave us or forsake us. He died on the cross to give us new life and eternal life. You can know peace that God is guiding you at all times. You can know comfort that Jesus will always be with you through the power of the Holy Spirit.
We often expect God to speak with a booming voice from the clouds, but the reality is He uses many ways to guide us. The obvious ways are prayer and Bible reading, but he also uses other Christians we share our lives within church or even the prompting of the Holy Spirit.
Nothing will ever be so bad that God cannot help you.
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word (2 Thessalonians 2:16)
