Am I looking at life from the wrong perspective?

Thank you so much for your great question about life and perspective!

There are only two ways to look at life: The Biblical way, and every other way.

If, as the Bible so openly declares and testifies, it is God who made the world, us and everything in it, then we would be wise to read the Bible to help us. This of course would provide us with God's instructions, intent, purpose and perspective. The Bible declares itself to be the help we need to have the right perspective on life.

Does this mean that any other philosophical, scientific or religious perspective does not contain truth? Of course not! However, you will find upon examination that these truths are already in accord with the revealed Biblical perspective, but unfortunately being found outside of the the Bible, though they may occasionally shine a bright light on your path, are not bright enough to stop you falling and tripping and taking the wrong way.

This sounds very exclusive, and of course it is, unless the Bible is indeed what it claims to be; the revealed will of God toward man, the counsel of God in all its fullness toward us who believe.

In summary then, if you have a Biblical perspective on life, then let me assure you that you have the right perspective, you have God's perspective.

For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light. (Psalm 36:9)

Here are some more Bible Verses for your further consideration:

  • Psalm 19:1-14
  • Psalm 119:105
  • 2 Timothy 3:15-17
