Question

It seems more complex than just "Jesus died for our sins". If it happened, it seems it was to benefit a younger race, a more immature species who hadn't accepted their own existence.

Answer

Thank you for your interesting set of statements. I hope that this short reply will give you some things to consider.

Firstly I do agree that the world is more complex than "Jesus died for our sins" and all that entails. However I do not agree that it was for a younger race. The cross is at the centre point of human history. All people before Christ were made right with God by trusting in the one who was to come; and all people since Christ are made right with God. The people Jesus was born amongst were Romans, Greeks and Jews. These are still considered today to be some of the most intelligent and developed people of all history. They needed Jesus just as much as we do today.

The Church is Jesus' creation (Matthew 16:18). He is alive and the head of his Church (Colossians 1:18). He loves the Church and will never ask it to move on from doing what he called it to do around 2000 years ago: to go into all the world and tell people about him (Matthew 28:19). Each new generation is not born into knowing about Jesus and so each generation has an opportunity to hear the Good News that Jesus died for their sins because he is the only way to be made right with God and enjoy eternity in heaven.

This life is complex, we live in a very interesting time, but Jesus is unchanging and eternal (Hebrews 13:8). He is the truth and the way and the life (John 14:6). He is the one constant in a world of constant change. He has changed my life and billions of other people's lives who find salvation, joy, peace, satisfaction and purpose in him. This world offers us a million things but none of them will ever give a human what Jesus can. This is because Jesus made us to know him! He is the great creator. We are his creation.

Life is complex. Instead of running from Christ, enjoy life with him!
