Ask a questionQ & A
I can't find a Church where I can be comfortable.
Thank you for sharing your situation. I am sorry to hear that you are unable to find a Church where you feel comfortable. It is difficult to speak into your situation without knowing your personal circumstances.
The bible tells us that the Church does not exist just to make us comfortable. If you have tried to attend many and dislike them all perhaps you have the wrong idea of what Church is meant to be and do.
From reading Acts 2-4 we can see that the Church is a group of God's people who meet under qualified leadership, teach the bible, pray together, have fellowship together and carry out baptism/communion and the great commission to reach the world for the glory of God. All of the secondary issues like worship style, meeting time and place are not as important at the above.
Hebrews 10:25 does tell us about not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. From this, we are expected to meet together, and church is supposed to be a place of encouragement toward one another. it is possible that a lack of encouragement is the reason why you do not feel comfortable in your Church.
We ask that you please reply why it is that you are uncomfortable. Also if you are happy to share where you live then we may be able to put you in touch with a Church we know and where we hope you will feel comfortable.
I do hope this general answer to your question goes some way to helping you find peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. If you want to know more about what Jesus has done for you please watch the video on the main part of our site: www.lookingforGod.com
