Ask a questionQ & A
Will my friends get back together?
Thank you for asking your question regarding relationships.
It may be that you have come to us seeking a specific word of knowledge. LookingforGod.com does not have such a mandate and therefore for us to say either way whether your friends would get back together would be inappropriate.
In terms of God making people get back together, this is not the normal way that God operates. God gives us the freedom to choose in such matters, although he may give us guidance from time to time. A relationship of this nature should have a goal, and the Bible makes it clear that the goal is marriage: Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh (Genesis 2:24). Therefore, your friends need to ask if they want to be married to each other. It may be that this is not even an option for them at this stage of their life.
The choice of them getting back together is theirs to make, not God's decision. God will not force us to do something that is against their wishes.
I encourage you to pray for your friends, whether or not they are to be together. Pray that God would bless them, that in due time they would know the joy of relationships and marriage. Pray also that you too would find a good Godly Christian whom you can marry.
In summary then, we are not able to tell you whether your friends will get back together, and the decision is in their hands. Pray for your friends that they would know Jesus and would walk in his path, whether or not they are to be together. Pray also for yourself, that in due time you may find a spouse whom you can love and seek God together.
