Ask a questionQ & A
I desire to study in England but I will struggle financially. Will God help me?
Thank you for your question. There is nothing wrong with wanting to study.
The key to a satisfying life is to be content. Consider this verse:
Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have, for he has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we can confidently say,
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not fear;
what can man do to me" (Hebrews 13:5-6)
I cannot say yes or no if you will move to England to study. It does seem like you desire it to the point of it causing you discomfort if you cannot attend. This may mean you are idolising your education. In other words, are you putting this desire above God?
Perhaps if money is an issue you should look to study elsewhere. It may be that there is a scheme or grant that is available to you. Perhaps you can find work and save up to go to college or university.
And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life. Little children, keep yourselves from idols (1 John 5:20-21)
Life with Christ is true life indeed. No degree or education is needed to enjoy life to the fullest with Jesus Christ. Can I encourage you to check your own walk with God? Make him the centre and enjoy life with Him no matter what else is going on.
