Ask a questionQ & A
I know God exists. How to get him with me in my all my day to day activities so that I don't go in the wrong direction and do the things which God wants me to do?
Thank you for asking us a question through the Looking for God website. It is great to hear you believe that God exists! There is some Good News that means you can know God is with you always.
Before we hear the Good News we need to understand the bad: the Bible teaches us that our sin separates us from God. This is our problem. Sin is our condition we are born into, and that wrong things that we think and do on a daily basis. For us to be right with God we must deal with our sin. But nothing that we do on our own can erase our sin.
God is perfect, holy and just and therefore must punish sin. He cannot allow bad things to go unnoticed or unaccounted.
Jesus came to live a perfect life, without sin, so that he could die in our place for our sin. On the cross Jesus took the punishment I deserved. By faith in Jesus death and resurrection for the forgiveness of sin and new life, I am forgiven and given new life.
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation (Romans 5:10-11).
Jesus then dwells with me and I know that God is with me everyday.
Therefore I would like to encourage you to consider what Jesus has done for you and if you have never believed in his works to do so.
Jesus then sends the Holy Spirit to help guide us everyday, to make right decisions.
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
I do hope this general answer to your question goes some way to helping you find peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. If you want to know more about what Jesus has done for you please watch the video on the main part of our site: www.lookingforGod.com
