Ask a questionQ & A
I feel like I have been savaged by satan and left in a fearful state of mind. Is there hope for me?
Thank you for your honesty and asking if there is hope. I am sorry to hear that you are anxious and that you have been savaged.
I believe with all of my heart that there is hope. The Bible says:
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:6)
Whatever has gone before in your life, Jesus Christ is alive today and wants you to know peace, forgiveness and hope for the future.
The enemy of God is satan, he seeks to kill and destroy and he is the father of all lies. The Bible says this about him:
Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith (1 Peter 5:8-9).
Jesus is truth, life and peace. He is the way to know forgiveness and to be made right with God the Father. If you can believe that Jesus died to make you right with God you can have a new start. Jesus took our sin and shame in his body on the cross and buried it with him in the tomb. He rose again to give new life to all who call on him. Whatever you have done wrong or had done wrong against you, there is new life in Christ to be had today. Cry out to Jesus and ask him to make you new. Jesus said:
"Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?" Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (John 14:1-6)
When we know Christ is in control we do not have to worry or be anxious, because the creator of the universe is in control now and in the future. Pray to him for peace.
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7)
