Ask a questionQ & A
I am a failure at everything. Can God help me?
Thank you for contacting us with your sincere question. I am so sorry to hear that many things have gone wrong in your life and you feel like you are failing. Your problems are telling you something very important - that you need God in your life.
Did you know that every person in the world is a failure? This includes even the richest and most powerful people. This is what the Bible says:
All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
Everybody in the world has failed in God's eyes, because they have failed to live as He commands. Because of this, we deserve God's punishment. Our greatest need is to be forgiven by God. That is why He gave His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us. Jesus took the punishment for our sins and wrongdoings.
For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God. (1 Peter 3:18)
As a result of Jesus rising again from the dead, He is able to save us and give us eternal life.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life". (John 3:16)
All we have to do is confess our sins to God, admit that we have no hope without Jesus, and put our trust in Him as our Saviour and Lord. He promises to hear us and save us.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)
"Whoever comes to me I will never cast out". (John 6:37)
I wonder if you have ever invited the Lord Jesus Christ into your life as your Lord and Saviour? When He comes in, He changes everything!
Christ Jesus...became to us wisdom from God, righteousness and sanctification and redemption, so that, as it is written, “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:30-31)
If you need wisdom - you need Jesus. If you need forgiveness - you need Jesus. If you need a hope and a future - you need Jesus. He has a good plan for your life.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
You need to put your whole life in God's hands. Surrender to Him all your hopes, all your ambitions and all your disappointment. Give your life over to Him and tell Him that you are willing to do things His way. Pray, read His Word and be determined every day to trust Him and wait for Him. Believe that you are in His hands and obey whatever He tells you to do. In His time, He will lead you and bring you into blessing. It is more important to be a success in His eyes than in the eyes of other people. Just work hard at whatever you do and trust God for His help and blessing.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might (Ecclesiastes 9:10)
When a person becomes a Christian, God sends His Holy Spirit to live in them and give them power to obey Him.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope. (Romans 15:13)
In summary, all of us have failed almighty God through our actions. However, through what Jesus has done for us we can be restored and know God personally as our Father. I encourage you to pray to Jesus for forgiveness today, asking him to make changes in your life.
