Question

I need help finding God. I have many problems but God is calling me. How do I answer Him?

Answer

Thank you so much for contacting us with your important question. I really am sorry to hear that you have problems, but it is wonderful to hear that God is calling you and you want to respond to Him.

You do not say what the problems are that are causing you such hurt and it may be that you would like to contact us again for help with these things. The most important thing, however, is that you should be able to respond to God's call, and we will certainly try to help you with this.

God loves you and is calling you, as he calls everyone, to trust in Jesus and receive the gift of eternal life.

God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. (1 Corinthians 1:9)

You know that you have made mistakes and done wrong things. Like everyone else, you need God's forgiveness.

Blessed are those whose lawless deeds are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. (Romans 4:7)

God wants to give you this blessing of forgiveness and eternal life.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

You say that you do not know how to answer God. All you have to do is to tell Him that you know you are a sinner and that you are sorry and want to change. Invite the Lord Jesus Christ to enter your life as your Saviour and Lord. He always answers such a prayer, if it is made sincerely and with faith that Jesus is our only hope. He will accept you. His promise is,

"All that the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never cast out." (John 6:37)

Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. (Joel 2:32)

I do hope this answer helps you find peace with God through Jesus Christ our Lord. If you want to know more about what Jesus has done for you please watch the video on the main part of our site: www.lookingforGod.com

In closing, I beg you get more involved with your local church. God makes many promises in is Word. Here is another for you to remember and think about.

God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ - by grace you have been saved - and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness towards us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:4-10)
