Ask a questionQ & A
I have read the Bible and concluded that God is a tyrant, evil and a murderer. How can you justify your deluded belief in the God of the Bible?
Thank you so much for your very blunt enquiry!
I too have read the Bible and concluded that God is Holy and righteous and good. I thank God everyday for the Christ of Christianity, the Saviour of the world, who loved me and gave Himself as a willing sacrifice for my sins that, believing in His sacrificial death on Calvary’s cross for the sins of the whole world, I might go free.
I know that as a forgiven person in Jesus I have also been adopted into God’s family and therefore have become a joint heir with Jesus having an infinite and eternal inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled, reserved in heaven for me. I thank God for all the precious promises to me made in this book, His most living Word to me. The gracious message of Christianity is that sinful men and women can be saved from the wrath to come by believing in Jesus.
In summary, the Bible declares the wonder, goodness and glory of God. The biggest proof of this is that he did not stand by to let us suffer, but sent his only Son, Jesus Christ, to die in our place on a cross so that we can be reconciled to God. Everyone of the people in the Bible were sinners who failed God, but the God-man Jesus Christ is perfect.
Repent of your sins, turn your back on your own way of life and turn to Jesus as your Lord and Saviour.
"The times of ignorance God overlooked, but now he is calling all people everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day on which he will judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he has appointed; and of this he has given assurance to all by raising him from the dead." (Acts 17:30-31)
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9)
